General Chapter

The General Chapter

The General Chapter is regularly convened every six years and is the supreme authority of the congregation. It is composed of the members of the General Council, the Provincial Superiors, the Superior of the Delegation of France, and certain members designated as such by the General Regulations.

The General Chapter is particularly responsible for the fidelity of the congregation to the intentions of our founder and to our Constitution. It is also responsible for the promotion of the vitality of the congregation.

For this reason, the General Chapter studies and evaluates the overall situation of the congregation. It provides guidance and establishes goals for the entire congregation. It elects the Superior General.
